Aguas Libres is a network of pioneers, residents, entrepreneurs and anyone who shares the love for Patagonia; we have joined together forming this organization in the beautiful valley of Rio Futaleufú, located in the Province of Palena in Northern Patagonia.

Our mission is to protect the natural wealth, quality of life, biological and cultural diversity of Patagonia.

Aguas Libres works to build a community united, well informed and able to decide its future, by means of facilitating access of the community to others and to relevant information about the environment, sustainable development, positive/negative impacts of mega-projects and other related topics. Also, we especially care about local children and youth by sponsoring environmental education and promoting a sustainable management plan of this land, so that one day it will be theirs to enjoy and take care of.
